Great turnout last night. That is how all of our meetings should look. The Merrill Lynch office will be the official meeting site until further notice. Next week Jimmy is the speaker, Robin is the Trade Show, Doug is the Greeter, Jim J is Call 5 take 5 and Doug is Bevs and apps. Let's keep the momentum going by inviting guests and passing referrals. See you all next week.
I've updated Jimmy's email address in the CORN group email. Please update your personal emails. I've also deleted Dennis/Dean from the distribution list.

Tuesday, March 23, 2010,
Good news! Dr. Nordhus will be joining us again next week. Magadalyn will continue her leave of absence for a little longer until the schedule permits her return.
As many of you know attendance has been sporadic this spring and we’ve had a hard time putting on a good program for our members and guests. In fact many of us are questioning the suitability of bringing a guest if we don’t have an organized meeting with a speaker, trade show, and food confirmed well in advance. In response to this uncertainty we have decided to implement these new guidelines voted on unanimously by those in attendance this week. If you are the assigned speaker it is your responsibility to confirm a replacement if you cannot speak for some reason. We would like for this to be done by Friday before the next meeting if possible. If you are sick the day of the meeting we would still request a verbal commitment for the person assigned to speak. We will not use email to pass on the responsibility to someone without their consent. The reminder for not finding a replacement will be $50.00. If you have the Trade Show you also need to find a replacement prior to the meeting. It would be best to get a replacement by Friday to give the alternate time to plan prior to the event. The reminder for failing to have a replacement for a Trade Show will be $25.00. Finally, if you are responsible for refreshments and cannot attend you will need to find an alternate to bring food and beverage and you will be responsible for paying for your turn. That way we can stay on a regular schedule to make sure everyone pays a fair share for putting on our weekly programs.
One of the risks of having no dues to join our group is that we will not take the weekly commitment seriously. Hopefully, these reminders will help with the commitment to make our club worthwhile attending on a regular basis.
Our speaker for next week is Robin. Our Trade Show for next week is Doug. Our Greeter is Jim Jans. Call Five Take Five is Michael and Beverages appetizers is Jimmy. We will also discuss final plans for the April 6th meeting. The next two weeks would be a great time for everyone to re-commit to the program and bring a few guests. Look forward to seeing everyone next week.
